William Shakespeare's Star Wars: Verily, A New Hope

William Shakespeare's Star Wars: Verily, a New Hope - Ian Doescher

As someone who has never been really into Star Wars this book was perfect. Light, quirky, yet true to its source, Doescher does a fantastic job of combining the works of The Bard and George Lucas into one unforgettable adaptation. Beyond just being a good book it's also a marvel at the talent it takes to write such an adaptation, using diction that compliments Shakespeare's own writing as well as iambic pentameter. Both the skill and the content are worth admiring in this case, and if there's one piece of writing that I think deserves its own Broadway show, this is the one.
